I'm Sorry But I've Got To Move On And Leave You Behind...

As you can guess, this is a goodbye post.
I really loved working with this blog but now have a lot of work because of school and even more blogs. So I had to leave one. And unfortunately, it's this one. You're really great authors you guys, so keep the blog going without me.
I'm really sorry.

The Gorgeous New Hairstyles!

Hi people!
First things first, I've gotta apologize. I went off to Melbourne for my school project FPS finals. It was great, and we won second place, but I totally felt sooooooo retarded for not telling anyone ('cept my diary) that I was going and that I'd not be able to be on. Sorry, Yas! Sorry, Lexi! And if you are from Melbourne Grammar School or if you know anyone from there, ask them to contact me via doll mail, 'cos I happen to have met some really cool peepz (Lucy, Flora, Elise, Natasha and Fran) from there, plus a few other people (one is James. The others I dunno.).
Next ... the gorgeous new hair! 12! Can you believe it? Yeah, 12! The styles really rock! Thanks so much, Stardoll! You've really given us a reminder of why we joined in the first place. I put a pic of the hairstyles below, plus some comments on them.

Hairstyle Critic

1) It's nice! But the fringe is a little over-the-top, or maybe under-the-bottom? I don't know, but it sure looks weird. 7/10

2) Love it! One of my absolute faves. Classic beauty, hmm? 10/10 No — I mean, 11/10 :)

3) Very ... unique. (I'm struggling to find a kind word here.) The braids are just ... urgh. Remember Jason Castro from American Idol Season 7? Yeah? That's who it looks like. 5/10

4) Nice! Messy .. point taken. But no doubt it looks good. Another favourite of mine. 9.5/10

5) Ok ... a little weird. But on the whole, it looks good. Let's just say it was a fashion malfunction. 8/10

6) Wonderful styling! It looks nice, but doesn't it look a little ... thin? Yeah, maybe I imagined it. 9/10

7) My definite fave! It looks really, really cute! My present hairstyle, and I love it! 10/10

8) Ah. The wacko-tacko look. Only joking! Nice job, guys! 7/10

9) Eskimo? Hmm ... 4/10

10) Ok. I suppose. Probably. My personal feeling, when I'm not trying to be tactful, is ... URGH. *vomits* But it might look pretty stylish .. if you know how to make it look stylish, that it. 2/10

11) and 12) They're pretty much the same, but they both look beautiful! Personal fave of the two is 12. It's more stylish, don't you think? 9/10 for both

Well, thanks again, Stardoll! Glamourous new hair!

Oh yeah. I just remembered.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Tee hee. x

Superstars vs Non-Superstars

I read an article on the Stardoll user blog, Tyler's Top Trends, and I was amazed. The article was written by katie_lady824 and explained the whole "Superstar vs Non-Superstar" war to us. I was so intrigued, I actually posted a loooong comment:

"I totally agree. I am currently a non-superstar but I have been superstar twice since I joined in June 2007. Both times, I won competitions. It was really cool, but Stardoll's beginning to overdo it. Some non-superstars deserve credits for making Stardoll the way it is. I have some non-superstar friends who treat me better than some superstars. Of course, there are some really elite (in looks and personality) people, and I know that. I've met some of them. But I think the fault still lies with Stardoll. After all, Stardoll is just another [though no doubt cooler] virtual community, but some of us waste too much of our lives on it."

And many others expressed their views on this article too. For example:

"Yeah, but what do non-superstars give to stardoll? nothing. But stardoll gives them a site to dress up their fav celebs, chat with friends, and a whole bunch of stuff, if anything, non-superstars owe stardoll. Not the other way around. Even when I was a non-superstar for 3 whole months, I understood that I didn't give anything to stardoll, but superstars pay the employees salaries! And without superstars, there is no payment for the employees, which means no stardoll. Non-superstars should be more great full to stardoll for giving them a free website, instead of greedily asking for more and more without giving anything in return. Stardoll wants money, and they will do anything to get it. PLUS the reason most things that were once for everybody are now exclusively to superstars is a marketing technique. You've had a taste of how great it is, and if you want more of it, you have to pay. another reason stardoll took so many things away from non-superstars is because they abused it, like the whole 5 stardollars if you invited a friend. Non-superstars should REALLY stop complaining. The efforts to get stardoll to change are all going to end in vain because stardoll could care less." ~ talkzi1213

I must say I agree with her and many others, not to mention Katie. We all have reasons for our opinions, but I think that it's true that though "no pain, no gain" (pain being loss of money), non-superstars deserve something too. Ex-superstars get things (for example the voile gift dresses), but I know how non-superstars feel [from my sister]. Some non-superstars have hearts of gold and are the nicest people ever, but superstars have the reputation. After all, being superstar means that you have the money to buy the account and stardollars, right? Hmm, sometimes I don't think so. I am an above-averagely-rich person (having my parents and grandparent working to support the family) but my mother has never been to keen on me splurging on online sites, like i-Dressup or Millsberry, or for my sister to waste precious money on Barbie or Neopets VIP accounts.

I get the feeling some non-superstars feel under-rated, just because of their status. But even though all these things are happening around us, where would we be without Stardoll? For me, Stardoll makes up 15% of my life, which is more than it should. I log on everyday just say read my messages and stuff, then I write blog entries which everyone can read, then I come here and write something to update on. But no, I wouldn't say I'm obsessed. I actually manage to juggle my online life, my real life and everything else chasing each other round my head and survive!

We know you're thinking something right now. Tell us what you think about this! We (well, I) value your opinion, whether you're a superstar or non-superstar. Write!

Love,
Nat :D

Malina Joseph

WHO IS THIS MALINA JOSEPH? ELLE's Fashion Editor, of course. And just look at her hawt suite.

BIOGRAPHY:

Malina V. Joseph is the Fashion Bookings Editor at ELLE Magazine.
As a woman of many interests, she has toyed with the idea of being an art dealer, chef and documentary filmmaker before eventually settling in on juggling the many hats one must wear to work in fashion (good thing she loves to accessorize).
Malina has done everything from carrying trunks of Manolos, Louboutins and tiaras through the rough terrain of the white sands desert to saving a Gaultier wedding dress from being eaten by a mountain goat.
For Malina's most recent endeavor - tune into the CW this fall where she will be seen alongside ELLE's Fashion News Director Anne Slowey and Creative Director Joe Zee as the co-host of ELLE's television project - "STYLISTA".
She will serve as mentor to hopefuls competing for a coveted spot on ELLE's masthead.
In addition to loving and intellectualizing fashion, Malina enjoys muscle cars, haute cuisine, anything French, disco, spontaneous travel and politics.

Of course, all fashionistas have their own unique style. But look at those handbags! Woah.

Stardoll No's

Stardoll No's is basically some topics about things on SD that you shouldn't buy. Today I'll start with the hair dyes.

In this picture I took a photo of my doll and a doll with black dyed hair. The difference? Non. Why pay some stardollars when you can use it for free from the medoll section?

Who would use that trashy colour?! Maybe a boy could make it work, but girls? No way.

This was all for today, tune in next time for more!

RoleModel Returns

WHAT?!?! Coco Chanel is online ... again? Oh no ... could Stardoll be haunted by ghosts?

Hehe. Comment. x

Gilmore Girl Gown

Stardoll 'Crime' Scene Investigators
a new generation of crime busters

The Alexis Bledel 3 copyrighted dresses. Hehe. Just look!

So ... four of the free SS gift dresses have been 'stolen' from Alexis Bledel's closet? Who will Stardoll turn to next?

LOL.

A random thing.

Greetings. :D

Some of these dresses just rock, and some just ... suck. Take the brown one, for example. Now I wonder who the heck would wear that?!

Note the orange dress in the box. Hmm ... I've never seen it before?!? Another loophole? Or a cheat? Maybe a glitch like the free DKNY? Idk.

I wonder if someone took my advice (from below) and did that, would s/he get a totally strange dress that no one's seen before? Maybe.

Ah .. the wonderfully absurd world.

Btw, what do you think of my new banner?

The Superstar Bribe

The pics above are arranged in the order of which I received them.

Is Stardoll getting desperate or what? It's obvious that they just want money. Some of the dresses are just .. YUCK!

Pick Of The Day

Why is it that the Pick of the Day usually turn out to be ugly, old things that whoever buys it, regrets it?! These shoes have nothing special about them: Just because they're designed by a celeb doesn't make them gorge. They're simply... plain. Eurgh.

The Ultimate SS and ex-SS Treat!

Woohoo!

Thanks a lot, Stardoll. For once, I've gotta say (truthfully), "I'm glad I joined Stardoll, 'cos I really love you!"

Listen up for the reason to my emotional outburst:

"All Superstars and ex-Superstars, ATTENTION!"

We're giving out ... free dresses! Just copy and paste one of the links below to get one of the wonderful Voile dresses! Sadly, this is only for Superstars and ex-Superstars. This does not work for non-Superstars.

Links:

2.
stardoll.com/do/giveItemToSuperstar.php?itemId=17126
3.
stardoll.com/do/giveItemToSuperstar.php?itemId=17129

The first dress is described as Orange Crush, the second one as October Night (the one I took) and the third is Antique Rose. They are all totally hot!

Unfortunately, you can only get one dress per member. And the member has to be either Superstar or ex-Superstar to get the gorgeous dress. Sad, but life isn't fair.

Actually, if you look at the links, you'll notice that the numbers are 17128, 17126 and 17129. Maybe if you try replacing those numbers with other numbers you may get something different. I can't -- I clicked on one too soon. ='( If anyone manages to find out, please post a comment.

New Hairstyles! =D

Isn't this just wonderful?!?! New hairstyles! Just liked we've always dreamed of. And they're perfectly beautiful! Just take a look:

"Babuci was kind enough to show us all the hairstyles!" that's a quote from Stardoll Spotlight, another fantabulous Stardoll user blog.

But the thing is; I think it's only for people with 5000+ starpoints!!!! Here's the discriminating evidence:

After all, life is never fair.

Styled Suites

Heya!

Note the title. It said Styled Suites, not Stylish Suites. Though, man, I would love to be able to classify moi suite as stylish. It totally isn't. But still, I'm featuring my Stardoll suite .. for the first -- and last -- time! Look and be amazed (hehe):

Cluttered, isn't it? And that's just my main room. The suite was even worse when I was Superstar ...

And now for the 'last words':

"Post a comment, and I just might go visit you and put your suite up for voting. Don't worry, I have hereby prohibited any sarcastic or meaningful criticism. Don't you love me?"

Haha. I'm going mad. x

Stardoll has switched languages (?!)

Why is the ad of MK suddenly in a different language?

:-/

Wierd.

Not much gossip right now...

Awards were yesterday, usual people got nominated... bla bla bla.
